Transportation from San Juan Airport
| Transportation from the San Juan Airport is provided by Palmas Transport, call 787-285-4323 to make your reservation. They will greet you with a Palmas Del Mar sign at the baggage claim area in the airport. Depending on traffic, the ride is normally 50 to 60 minutes. The cost per passenger is $18 or you can reserve a private van. The driver will drop you off in front of our Beach Villa. |
Other Transportation
| Golf Carts are the main mode of transportation around the Palmas community and are great fun for young and old alike. You can get by without one, but it makes it much easier to get to and from the restaurants, golf, tennis, and the grocery store. Golf cart rental rates vary by season, but call ahead for rates and a reservation. There are two places that rent carts: Club Cala (787-852-6000 Ext 10310) which is approximately 1/4 mile from the Villa or BDI golf carts (787-850-3260). BDI is in the marina, but they will normally deliver and pick up the cart at your villa. |
| A car rental at Palmas is easily obtained by calling Vias Car Rental at 852-1591. They will pick you up at your unit and take you about 2 miles to their location where you can pick up the car. They charge approximately $39 per day. You can also get around the Palmas community quite well in a car. |
| Guided tours to any location in Puerto Rico including the Rain Forest (El Yunque) and Old San Juan can be obtained by calling Palmas Transport (787-285-4323). Club Cala can also arrange day trips to Flourescent Bay and other attractions. |
